Virginia Seekamp Obituary

July 6, 1917 - September 24, 2008

Middletown, NY

Virginia Seekamp, a lifetime resident of Middletown, passed away on September 24, 2008 at Carlucci's Home in Greenville, NY. She was 91 years old.

The daughter of Harold and Isabel Kelder Fuller, she was born on July 6, 1917.

She was a retired Psychiatric Aide for Middletown State Hospital. Virginia brought her many years of experience to Carlucci's, where she continued to care for her fellow housemates.

Ginny is survived by her only son, Robert and his wife, Patty of Mount Hope; two grandsons, Bobby and his wife, Jeannie of Lake Mary, FL, and Jason of Sherman Oaks, CA; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Brandon; one sister, Dorothy Seekamp of Middletown; one brother, Gurden Fuller and his wife, Barbara of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a sister-in-law, Gwen Fuller of Circleville, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Harold and Edward Fuller and her sister, Marion Brown.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, a quiet woman who was happiest in the company of her family. The family would like to thank Jenny and her staff at Carlucci's for their love and dedication in caring for Ginny.

Visitation hours are Monday, September 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, September 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY.

A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be celebrated Tuesday, September30, at 11 a.m. following visitation at the funeral home. Fr. John Warfel will officiate. Internment will follow at Wallkill Cemetery.
