First I would like to thank everyone for there thoughts and prayers for our family during this time. My Dad was a great man, he has taught me to be a man and a father. He was my best friend and my greatest critic. He is surely missed, but we are ok knowing he is up there watching down on us. As I have said before my Dad will never truly die for he will live on in all our hearts. Until the day I see you again I love you Dad.

There are so many beautiful memories, but there are not enough words that can adequately express the painful loss of an uncle so dear to our hearts. You will live on through the music--you will always be with us!

We will miss you!

Greg's family, I graduated with Greg from CCHS and was saddend to learn of his passing. We were not close friends but we were long time classmates and I have fond memories of him. My best one is enjoying the concert he and his band put on at school one afternoon. I always thought he was a "cutie" and know that you will miss him dearly.

On behalf of myself, my family, and the Officers and Members of the Howells Fire Company I would like to take this opportunity to remember a fine, honest and hard working man. Greg was always a friend of mine, and I will never forget our "Road" trip to Wisconsin to inspect our new Pierce in 1992. Greg was always praising Betty and his children whenever we spoke. He will be missed, but he will not be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family at this difficult time. May God Bless Them.

Really have great memories of you guys. I hope in your grief you can remember the happy times too. My first memory is of my father talking about Bill Wickline who sells the best firetrucks (Mack). There I became an officer and had a guy named Greg Wickline trying to sell me Mack firetrucks. Always the salesman but every bit the gentleman, I also called him friend. I remember having a ford-young truck die at a fire before I was an officer so it was easy to convince the truck committees we needed reliable apparatus, back to Macks for Circleville. At one point I remember telling Greg, I want all Macks in this house when I become Chief. I later had the honor of pointing out to Greg that we did it, he said did what, I explained; we just got our last Mack-Pierce delivered and I'll be chief this year. I couldn't have done it without my friend & comrade. Betty even had funny stories when he returned from trips, as once I got a panic call from her that he was out of town and she had a squirrel in the house. Allen was the man of the house & we solved the problem but Betty was the one who got the gift at the annual dinner. I don't know if he ever told you but we had a long conversation after and he was very relieved to know he could depend on his son & friends while he was away. Again keep the memories happy he was a great guy. Love ya all. Circleville misses you and we'll all remember his committment to his family & community.

Aunt Betty and to my Dear Cousins - I have sooo many fond memories of Uncle Greg - I will always remember his classic corvette, his guitar(ZZ TOP) that he loved to play for us,his laughter(his chuckle), our artari game nights, having to tell him that his car that I was driving got hit as it was parked in a parking lot (learning how to drive)YIKES, I will always fear shooting pool for fear that I will tear the green up on the pool table ha ha I still think of him when I play, when I see a Mack truck or Pierce I smile and tell poeple my uncle was a great salesperson for them :-)Christmas Day memories will hold dear to my heart.... his welcoming & giving personality will be missed - what a great uncle and I am thankful for the great memories I made with him and with my cousins - it was always a "FUN" house to go to - I am comforted in knowing that he left us peacfully and that he has a place in eternal life and is now continuing to do what he always did and that was to watch out for us and protect us all until we all meet again - may he walk the life of the everlasting with all of our friends and family who are there with him - may they all have PEACE and JOY until we all are together again to celebrate in LOVE - I love you Uncle Greg! Betty,

Hi, this is Joann, I am sorry to hear about your hushand.
Betty, remember God only want the best and the one that is ready. He looked down Sunday and saw that beautiful rose he planted sixty years ago was fading away; and said, it's time to come home where you can blossom again. Here you can do all the things you loved to do; drag racing, golfing, drive his classic car and most of all watch you drink your morning coffee everyday and then wait for you to come for lunch.
God will take care of you and your family.

GOD CARES,
Joann@Belk
