Irving Levine Obituary

Woodbourne, NY

Irving Levine of Woodbourne, a retired proprietor of Resort Printing in Woodbourne, died on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Achieve Rehab. and Nursing Facility in Liberty. He was 83.

He was born on July 25, 1925 in Queens, NY to Benjamin and Beckie Levine.

Irving served his country overseas during World War II. He was a past captain of the Woodbourne Fire Police; member of Congregation B'nai Israel in Woodbourne, and he was also a member of The Fallsbugh Masonic Lodge #1122.

He was the widower of Madeline Levine who was his partner in business and life for 55 years.

Irving is survived by two daughters, Paula Jaffe and her husband, Laurence of Massachusetts and Roberta Reid and her husband, Michael of Albany; one son, Sheldon Levine of Harriman; one sister, Rosie Yagoda; three grandchildren: Michelle Elias, Alan and Daniel Jaffe, and one great granddaughter, Kayla Elias. He was predeceased by one brother, Murray Levine.

Masonic Service will be held at 2 p.m., followed by funeral services on Monday, October 6, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne. Interment will follow in Congregation B'nai Israel Cemetery, Glen Wild, NY.

Donations in Irving's name may be made to the Woodbourne Fire Co. #1, PO Box 45, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
