Peter Rankin Obituary
Peter Rankin, formerly of Haverstraw, passed away on October 4, 2008 at Dr. R.L Yeager Health Complex. He was 47.
Peter was born on March 3, 1961 in Brooklyn, NY to William and Joan Rasmussen Rankin.
Peter grew up in Haverstraw and graduated St. Peter's School and North Rockland High School.
The family would like to thank all the staff of the 8th floor at Summit Park Hospital for the care they have given Peter over the years.
Survivors include his devoted parents, William and Joan Rankin of Highland Mills, NY; loving brothers, William Rankin of Nyack, Edward and his wife, Paige Rankin of West Hartford, CT and Robert Rankin of Montgomery; loving sisters, Jo-Anne Rankin and her husband, John Williams of Tolland, CT and Linda Rankin and her husband, Joseph Kurpel of Chester, NY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.J McGowan Sons, Garnerville.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow in the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery, Haverstraw.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Peter's memory to Jawonio, 260 North Little Tor Road, New City, NY 10956.
