William Magliaro Obituary

Roscoe, NY

William M. "Bill" Magliaro of Roscoe, NY, a retired tailor at the Concord Hotel, and longtime area resident, died Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 88.

The son of the late Joseph and Mario Acone Magliaro, he was born January 10, 1920 in Orange, NJ.

Bill served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II as an infantryman in North Africa and Europe; he was a communicant of the Gate of Heaven Church, Roscoe, NY and was a member and longtime President of the Roscoe-Rockland Senior Citizens Group. He had worked for many years in New Jersey as a stone mason and tailor before moving to the area.

Survivors include one son, Albert Magliaro and his wife, Donna of Monroe, NJ; thee grandchildren: Marc Magliaro, Michele Magliaro and Ryan Prybl, and several brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his first wife, Madeline Perilli Magliaro, thence by his second wife, Margaret Kutcha Magliaro, and by a daughter, Angela.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 8, at 10 a.m. in Gate of Heaven Church, Highland Ave., Roscoe, NY, with Msgr. William Collins officiating. Burial will be in Bon Air Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Gate of Heaven Church, Highland Ave., Roscoe, NY 12776.
