Margaret White Obituary

Fishkill, NY

Margaret (Peggy) White, 92 years old, died peacefully October 3, 2008 at Elant at Fishkill.

Peggy was born in Yonkers, NY, October 19, 1915, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Greytak Galocy. Peggy married Alton DuBois White on January 1, 1935. He predeceased her on June 26, 1978.

She worked as a Medical Executive Secretary at the Hopewell Medical Group. She was a member of The First Reformed Church of Fishkill, NY. She was also a member of Wiccopee/Mt. Hope Grange, and a member of the Dutchess County Medical Associates and had been Past President.

Peggy is survived by a niece and nephew, a great nephew and several cousins, also Mary Ann Smat, "The loving sister I never had". Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Peter Haynes, and her brother, Dr. Joseph Galocy of Stuart, Florida.

Graveside services will be held at Hopewell Cemetery, Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction on today, Thursday, October 9, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gloria McCanna officiating.

Arrangements by Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 1028 Main Street, Fishkill, NY 12524.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity.
