Carmen Mendoza Obituary
Carmen V. Mendoza, a homemaker of New Windsor for 9 yrs and a former resident of Richmond Hills, NY, died Monday, October 6, 2008 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. She was 69 years old.
The daughter of Julio Sucre Guevara and Agripina Batioja, she was born March 20, 1939, in Esmeralda, Ecuador.
She is survived by her son, Eduardo Mendoza of West New York, NJ; her daughters: Maggie Mendoza of Monroe, NY, Dalila M. Christoforidis of New Windsor NY; brothers: Ceasar Guevara of New York, Vincent Guevara of Esmeralda, Ecuador; grandchildren: Jessica, Robert, Felito, Jaime, Alex, Julito, Cynthia, Julio, Stephanie, George, Daniela, Joseph and Alexia. She was predeceased by sons: Julio, Victor, and Xavier Mendoza, also a sister, Vilma Guevara.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, October 10, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St. Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520.
A Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church of Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven, Valhalla NY.
