Patty & Barbara,

I am sorry to hear about the death of your Mom. I last saw her one night in Peppy's and we had the nicest conversation. My sympathy.

Dear Barbara & Pat, Dot & Hoobie will never be forgotten. They were great friends to Mom & Dad and always special to Rita, Hank & I.

I just got a birthday card from her this week--she was with it right to the end!

You are in my thoughts & prayers.

Love, Helen

Dear Barbara and Pat:

MaryAnn (in Lyons) called to tell us about Aunt Dorothy's passing. We are so sad to hear the news. We will be telling Mother but I'm not sure she will be able to process this. She and Daddy are 90 now and she's the last of the total of 9.

MaryAnn has my phone number and you are certainly welcome to call me.

I would like to offer my condolences to the family of Dorothy Van Etten. Her husband Robert (If I may . . .
"Hoobie") Van Etten was probably the best friend I had in the early days of my life and probably had something to do with how my future went. I met Dorothy only two times as I moved away from Highland Mills before they were married. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Dear Patty, It has been over 40 years, but I remember you and your mom. We lived in the little house behind the bank in Central Valley, in 1959 and 60, then moved to Ohio.
My sympathy to you on the loss of your sweet mother.
Peace and happy memories.

Barbara, your Mom and Dad were community institutions! Your Mom was one of the first people that we met when we moved back to Central Valley at age 4. She made us feel right at home. I guess it has been a long time since we started kindergarten together.
Best regards
