Georgianna Penaluna Obituary
Georgianna Penaluna of Greenwood Lake, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area died on Friday, October 10, 2008 in Goshen, NY. She was 72.
The daughter of the late James and Florence Crosen Ryerson, she was born on November 26, 1935 in Warwick, NY.
Survivors include her husband, Herbie Penaluna at home; her children, Terry Caffery and her husband, Jerry of Montgomery; Joanne Cerbone and her husband, Ed of Maplewood, NJ, Bonnie Penaluna of Greenwood Lake, NY, Penny Johnston and her husband, Bob of Florida, NY; her brother, Ted Ryerson of Greenwood Lake; her grandchildren: Dee, Jimmy and Chelsea; nieces and nephews, and also her cats: Porky, Smarty, and Squeak.
Visitation hours will be held on Monday, October 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. a the Strong Basile Funeral Home, 4 Oak St., Greenwood Lake, NY.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Greenwood Lake Cemetery, Greenwood Lake, NY.
Mememorial contributions may be made to the Greenwood Lake Library.

I was very saddened to hear of Georgianna's passing. Having many memories of hanging around the Penaluna house as a "punky" young girl, and sampling some of Mrs. Penaluna's yummy home cooked treats. My prayers are with all of you at this difficult time, lean on each other and remember the good times!!

I am so sorry to hear about Georgia. She was part of the family for me and besides being my Godmother, she was also a great friend when I was growing up. I am really going to miss her. If there is anything I can do, just let me know.
