Rose Ferranti Obituary

Monroe, NY

Rose M. Ferranti, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, passed away peacefully at home with her family at her side on Sunday, October 12, 2008. She was 76.

The daughter of Joseph R. and Sophie Muscatella Francischini, she was born November 5, 1931 in the Bronx, NY. She was the widow of Frank A. Ferranti, Sr.

Survivors include four sons: Joseph Ferranti and his wife, Lorraine of Ellenville, NY, Louis Ferranti of Beacon, NY, Frank Ferranti Jr. and his wife, Rosemary of Elizaville, NY, and Michael Ferranti and his wife, Catherine of Monroe, NY; two daughters, Anna Ferranti of New Windsor, NY, and Kathleen Ziegler and her husband, Ron of Walden, NY; one sister, Sophia Westphal of Warwick, NY; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Aida Caserti.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Inc., 39 Orchard St., Walden, NY.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, at Church of the Most Precious Blood, Walden, NY. Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.

Memorial contributions in Rose's name may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.
