Josephine Zimmerman Obituary
Josephine Katherine Zimmerman, 68, of Cornwall, NY, a retired secretary for Cornwall School District, died October 12, 2008 at Hudson Valley Hospital, Peekskill NY.
Daughter of Rosario Garaffa and Mary Giangiacomo, she was born July 31, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the widow of Earle C. (Bud) Zimmerman, Jr., who passed away on February 8, 2007.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Windsor.
Survivors include her four daughters: Gail Stanley of Cornwall, Loretta Wasson & husband, Ron of Newburgh, Jodi Zupkoff & husband, Adam of Florida, and Donna Kieckhafer & husband, Brian of Cornwall-On-Hudson; seven grandchildren: Melissa & Nicholas Stanley, Amanda, Alison, Alicia Zupkoff, Tyler Kieckhafer, and Matthew Wasson, also loved by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Carlo Garaffa and sister, Theresa Garaffa.
Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m., Thursday, October 16, at Quigley Bros. Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY 12520.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 17, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rt. 9W & Union Ave., New Windsor. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Cornwall.
