Beatrice Aaron Obituary

Accord, NY

Beatrice Aaron, a longtime resident of Accord, NY, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Ten Broeck Commons. She was 91.

Beatrice was born on January 2, 1917 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of Samuel and Bessie (Boden) Breslow.

On April 10, 1942 Beatrice married Leslie Aaron. Together they owned and operated the Accord Diner for many years. Mrs. Aaron had also worked as a Secretary for Channel Master Corp. in Ellenville, NY retiring in 1978. After retiring, Beatrice moved to St. Augustine, FL, then settled in Inverness, FL. She volunteered her time at the Citrus County Hospital and belonged to various organizations. Beatrice was an avid reader and enjoyed making crafts. She moved back to Accord in 1999 to live with her daughter, Beth Smith.

In addition to her daughter, Beth and her son-in-law, Leon, Mrs. Aaron is survived by her son, Richard M. and his wife, Lorna of Riverview, FL; her daughter-in-law, Louisa Aaron; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Leslie; her son, Kenneth L. and her brothers, Paul and Nathan Breslow.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 16 at 2 p.m. at the Accord Hebrew Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Beatrice's name to Friends of Historic Rochester, PO Box 229, Accord, NY 12404.
