Anna Turner Obituary

Cornwall, NY

Anna Marie (Twomey) Turner of Cornwall, NY, formerly of Garnerville, NY, died peacefully on October 14, 2008, in the company of her loving family.

Born on January 27, 1938 in New York City, she grew up in the Inwood section of Manhattan. The daughter of the late Patrick and Christine Twomey. She married her loving husband, Richard A. Turner, on January 18, 1958 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Manhattan.

Anna lived for over 35 years in Garnerville, NY, where she raised her three children. She enjoyed all that life offered, especially the love and joy of her family. She was loved and adored by her grandchildren: Marc, Caitlin, Jillian, Julie & Jenna. Her enthusiasm for the venture of travel brought her to many countries around the world. Her journey in life was steadfast in her Christian faith.

Anna is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard; son, Richard and wife, Ann of Boyce, VA; daughters, Nancy and husband, Kevin of Lake George, NY and Susan and husband, Frank of Cornwall, NY; her caring brother-in-law, Stanley of Naples, FL and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her only sister, Margaret.

Family and friends may visit Thursday, October 16, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Quigley Brothers Funeral Home, 337 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520.

A Mass celebrating Anna's life will be held Friday, October 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas of Canterbury, 340 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY.

The family wishes that in lieu of flowers, that any donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
