I just recently learned of Sister Juliana's passing. I remember Sister Juliana was the person who first talked to me upon my entrance interview in 1991 (for 1st grade). She was always a dedicated sister and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I also remember when she stepped down as principal she was giving a drawing with a picture of her and I believe something that had to do with the Philadelphia Phillies. It was a long time ago, but I remember Sister Juliana was a Phillies fan and their winning of the World Series certainly would have made her happy. She will be missed by all. God bless!

Its was January 1991, I was in 8th grade attending St. Josephs Grade school. Finally after 8 years, I got the call from the principal, Sister Juliana to say morning prayers over the loud speaker for the whole school to hear. I asked Sister, if I could bless the NY Giants as they were going to face the Bufffalo Bills. Sister approved and she joined me in prayer together and blessed the NY Giants. Well that Sunday, the miracle in the super bowl happened when Scott Norwood, the kicker for the Bills missed a stone throws kick and the NY Giants won.....To this day, I firmly believe that Sister Juliana had a little pull with the man above and answered our prayers. God bless you Sister, I will miss you! Sincerely...Ptl. Rich Lerche Allentown Borough NJ Police & St. Josephs grade school graduate

Sr. Juliana was a great principal. She remembered me all through her years as she resided at the convent in Toms River. When I would knock on the door, she would remember my first and last name. She was blessed. We will miss you.

I was saddened to hear of Sister Juliana's death. I worked as a teacher with her at St. Joseph Grade School for over 20 years. I admire her dedication to our God and her love for Our Lady. She was a great woman and one who subtly taught me compassion. My sympathies to the Dominican sisters on your loss.

God bless all of you,
Linda Hurley

Sister Juliana was a special teacher
remembered from many, many years ago when I was a student at Holy Family School in New Rochelle. Being a "little kid" at the time all those years ago, I now think of her as such a big influence of my formative years. She is truly with God in heaven now, watching over us all.

God has found the need to take my mentor and my dear sweet friend. I'm sure she has a special place in God's Kingdom. I was a very young teacher when I first meet Sister Juliana. I worked with her for over 20 years. She taught me confidence, fairness and compassion, I love her for that. I will miss her more than words can express. God Bless You Sister
