RuthAnn Ogden Obituary

Slate Hill, NY

RuthAnn Ogden of Slate Hill, NY, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 22, 2008, after a short, courageous battle with lung cancer in Orange Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was 54.

The daughter of the late Frederick Cardillo and Katherine Cardillo, she was born November 22, 1953 in Chester, NY.

RuthAnn had served her country in the Army from 1973-1976 and the Army Reserves from 1977-1990. She received her honorable discharge in June 1990. She also worked at the Middletown Police Department in the 1970's.

A family statement reads, "A kind, generous and loving wife, a great mother to our son and the greatest grandma. She was always there for her grandsons, Stephen and Joshua, whether it would be doing arts and crafts or just having fun in the backyard."

She is survived by her husband, Gary Ogden; her son, Steven M. Ogden and his fianceè, Christina Stelle; two grandsons, Stephen Ogden and Joshua Law; her mother, Katherine Cardillo, all at home; her cocker spaniel, Emma. She is further survied by a sister, Sara Jane Nichols of Berwick, PA; her brother-in-law, Raymond Ogden of Mount Hope and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Frederick L. Cardillo and her brother, Frederick C. Cardillo.

Visitation hours will be held on Friday, October 24, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Ralston-Lippincott-Hasbrouck-Ingrassia Funeral Home, Inc., 72 West Main St., Middletown, NY.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridgebury Cemetery, Ridgebury, NY.
