Bernie,
You may not remember a night when you had a party for ConEd types & their wives. The lights went out & so did I.
I wasn't aware of Bill's meritorious awards. I worked w/him for many years when he reported to Greenburgh (The Burgh). Please accept my condolences on your loss.

Dear Bernie: I am so sorry to hear that you have lost Bill. My heart goes out to you and your family. I haven’t seen ‘Mr. Mullady’ for years, but have two strong memories of you both. Kristi has already described your enthusiastic support of our attempts to entertain. I also have fond memories of babysitting your children. I remember initially being intimidated by Bill because I saw him as a big, strong, military-like tough guy (I’m not surprised to hear of his military honors) but that was immediately dashed having met him. He came across as warm and funny, allowing me to feel welcome in you home. It didn’t hurt that you had the best snacks and overpaid every time! My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Dear Bernie and family,
I was sooo sorry to hear of Bill's passing this morning. What an extrodinary man. He was a neighbor of ours (my mom's now) and I have such fond memories of him. Every summer all of us girls would put on our silly little outdoor plays, in the backyard. Every year we would invite all the neighborhood grown ups! And every single time, the Mullady's would be there. Not only would you come but Bill always asked for a front row seat..and made sure we promised to send him another invite! Taking time out of his day to support "the neighborhood arts" with our lemon aide, cookies, and over-acted theater!!! He always made us feel so special. He was one of the kindest men we knew. Always there with a smile, a wave and nice words. And, after reading about him, I see that he was so accomplished too. Please accept our deepest apologies and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
Sincerely, Kristi Ketenheim (Pacella)
