Eric Lunden Obituary
Eric James Lunden of Kerhonkson, NY, died Tuesday, October 28, 2008 of a massive heart attack. He was 52.
Eric was born in Staten Island on May 3, 1956, the son of Rita (Piccione) and the late Dag Lunden.
Mr. Lunden had worked for the New York City Transit Authority for many years. He was a very talented artist who also was a contractor for his own construction business. Eric was very involved in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. He was very proud of his recovery and believed in helping others reach their goal of overcoming their addictions.
In addition to his mother Rita of Kerhonkson, Eric is survived by his wife, Nancy of Kerhonkson; his children: Rachel and Daniel Lunden of Staten Island and Eric and Erica Lunden of Kerhonkson: his brother, John Lunden of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31, from 7-9 p.m. at H.B. Humiston Funeral Home, 30 42nd St., Kerhonkson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kerhonkson. Burial will follow at Pine Bush Cemetery.

I went to high school (Port Richmond) with Eric. He transferred senior year to another school and we lost touch. I often wondered what happened to him, where he was, what he was doing. I was so sad to read about him in the record. I was even sadder to know that I lived only a few towns over and never got the opportunity to run into him over the years.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Lunden family. He will be greatly missed by the Contractor Sales staff and everyone else here at Williams Lumber in High Falls. Eric was a pleasure to talk to and we will miss him dearly.
