Emil Freidank Obituary
Livingston Manor, NY
Emil C. "Luke" Freidank of Livingston Manor, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home. He was 82.
The son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Freidank, he was born on December 5, 1925 in Huntington, NY. He was the widower of his wife, Caroline.
Luke served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the Proprietor of the original Beaverkill Valley Inn "Luke's", a member of the Beaverkill Valley Fire Department, an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved the Yankees and most of all he loved his grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, Eric; two daughters, Lauren Gregory and her husband, Bob and Bonnie Baker and her husband, Bruce; three step-children: Charles Coulter, Debbie Carmack and Tammy White; two grandchildren, Caroline and Andy, and two sisters, Mildred Nolan and Margie Hendrickson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2, at the funeral home at 10 a.m.
Interment will follow at the Lew Beach Cemetery, Lew Beach, NY, with full Military Honors.
Donations in Luke's memory may be made to the Beaverkill Valley Fire Department, 1854 Beaverkill Valley Road, Lew Beach, NY 12758.

luke was a great man! he was only at the nursing home for a short time and ever morning i got my "hello darling" im very sorry for the lose of such a great person

Luke was a good friend. He was always there helping whenever needed. I have so many good memories of Lew Beach it was like one big family.
