Kenneth Patterson Obituary
Kenneth A. Patterson, a longtime resident of the area, entered into rest on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh, NY. He was 77.
Son of the late William and Allada Terwilliger Patterson, he was born August 1, 1931 in Newburgh, NY.
He was a member, past Chief and past Commissioner of the Cronomer Valley Fire Department. He retired from Highland Ice Cream Company.
Survivors include his wife, Jean M. Patterson, at home; one, Kenneth Patterson and his wife, Penny, of Seattle, WA; daughter, Jeannine Ellingson and her husband, Mark of the Town of Newburgh; two brothers, George and Charles Patterson, both of Newburgh; two grandchildren, Grant and Alexandra Ellingson, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, William Patterson, who died in 1944 and Ralph Patterson, who died October 28, 2008.
There will be no visitation.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 4, at 10 a.m., in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 180 South St., Newburgh, NY, with Fr. William Scafidi, celebrant. Burial will follow in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cronomer Valley Fire Dept., 296 N. Plank Rd., Newburgh, NY 12550 or St. Mary's Church, 180 South St., Newburgh, NY 12550.
