Carol Flower Obituary

South Blooming Grove, NY

Carol L. Flower, a 40 year area resident, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family and friends. She was 61.

The daughter of Gloria L. Adkinson and the late Dr. Paul A. Weinrauch, she was born on January 19, 1947 in Bronx, NY. She was a retired X-Ray Technician for Dr. Finch and Dr. Pallor in Monroe.

Family statement: "She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family and friends. The family would like to thank all those friends who supported us during this trying time and especially Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, and a special thanks to her three angels, Marie, Karen and Terry."

Survivors include her husband, Raymond J. Flower of South Blooming Grove; sons: Michael J. Flower and his wife, Julia of Monroe, Thomas E. Flower and his wife, Michelle of Montgomery, Raymond J. Flower and his fianceè, Melissa of Monroe, and Kevin P. Flower of South Blooming Grove; mother, Gloria L. Adkinson of Goshen; seven grandchildren: Crystal, Lauren, Michael, Danielle, Steven, Madison and Sophia; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Daniel Weinrauch.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Anastasia Shrine Church, 21 N. Main St., Harriman. Cremation will take place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.

Funeral arrangements were made by Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Homes, www.ssqfuneralhome.com or 845-782-8185.
