Catherine Wanser Obituary

Formerly of Middletown, NY

Catherine Elizabeth Wanser, 78, of Lehigh Acres, Florida formerly of Middletown, New York passed away on Friday, October 24th, 2008 at Consulate Health Care of North Fort Myers.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Earl C. Wanser and son, Jeffrey Wanser. She is survived by her brother, Robert Herres; sister, Lillian Dell-Ferguson; sons, Earl Wanser Jr., Mark Wanser, David Wanser, and Matthew Wanser; daughters, Elisa Lusk, Susan Platas and Penny Chmielewski; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Catherine was loving, gentle, and devoted to her family and friends. Her extraordinary kindness, unfailing graciousness and her delightful sense of humor were treasured gifts to us all. In our grief, we who had the blessing to be touched by her in her time, tearfully bid her farewell. As long as recollections have been meant to endure, Catherine will be remembered by family and friends with love, and a sigh for the emptiness left by her passing. She will live on in our hearts forever.

A Funeral Mass will be held November 4, 10 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2514 Lee Boulevard, Lehigh Acres, Florida followed by a private family Graveside Service.
