Herbert Morris Obituary

Warwick, NY

Herbert Morris, a 23-year resident of Warwick, died after a long illness on Sunday, October 19, 2008, at his home. He had previously lived in Manhattan and Northern New Jersey. He was 79.

Herbert was born on December 17, 1928 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Upon graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving for two years towards the end of World War II. He graduated from the University of Alabama as a speech and business major.

His first job was with Revlon, working with Charles Revson, where he eventually became the National Sales Manager. He remained in the beauty industry throughout his career in various executive positions with Helena Rubenstein, L'Oreal, and Trina, Inc. He eventually started his own marketing and management consulting business, which included negotiating licensee agreements.

Herbert is survived by his wife of 26 years, Susan, and their two sons, Zachary and Joshua. By a previous marriage he is survived by his sons: Monte, Westly, Wade; daughter, Marcie, and seven grandchildren.

Services were held on Wednesday, October 22, at Riverside Memorial Chapel in Manhattan.
