Thomas Bowring Obituary

Highland Lake, NY - Mr. Thomas J. Bowring, Jr., a retired Military Policeman in the US Navy, died Saturday, October 13, 2007 in Lumberland Township, N.Y. of injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was 44 years old.

He was born April 6, 1963 in Brooklyn, the son of the late Thomas J. Bowring, Sr. and Margaret Fitzpatrick Bowring. He was a member of the Tuston-Highland V.F.W. Post No. 6427.

He is survived by his wife, Noriko Makishima Bowring, and his daughter, Erika Bowring, both at home; his mother, Margaret Bowring of Bearfoot Bay, Fla.; two brothers, Charles Bowring of Seattle, Wash., and Bryen Bowring and his wife, Kerry, of Mastic Beach, N.Y.; one sister,Kathleen Bowring and her fiancee, Robert Berni, of Holtsville, N.Y.; and one niece, Kristin.

Friends may call at the Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home, Route 97, Barryville, N.Y. on Thursday, October 18th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19th with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church Of Padua, Yulan with Rev. Anthony Moore officiating. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Eldred, N.Y.

this was my first summer in highland lakes i met tom. he always seemed to be a caring fun person .as i learned by the times when he was not working ,family day trips with noriko an erika far away food shoping ,boating ,von stubin day,,showed me how much he loved his family,as well as his friends,and his likes for farming and his dogs ,showed me how much we had in common,,i pray for tom an know his devotion to everyone will never be forgotin
