Eileen Ille Obituary

Washingtonville - Eileen Alice Ille, a longtime resident of the area, entered into rest on October 23, 2007 at Benedictine Hospital. She was 81.

The daughter of Patrick and Nora (Dillon) Trehy, she was born January 24, 1926 in Woodside, N.Y.

She was a retired secretary for Volvo.

Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother and aunt who was involved with Blooming Grove Seniors and Barber Shop Bells in South Carolina. Eileen was a volunteer for Arden Hill Hospital, Cornwall Hospital, Nyack Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She was an avid runner who ran in many road races and participated in the Senior Olympics. She also loved to travel in the United States and around the world. Eileen was a person who had a zest for life and who loved people.

She was the widow of Theodore V. Ille. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia A. and her husband, John Jacco of Woodstock and Kathleen N. and her husband, Robert Amend of Washingtonville; sister, Kathleen and her husband, Kenneth Lang of Mountain Lake, N.J.; two grandsons, James and Thomas Amend; two granddaughters, Jeanmarie and Stephanie Jacco; many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 26, from 5 to 8 p.m., with a service to follow at 8 p.m. in the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY 10992.

Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eileen's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 505 N. Parkway, PO Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38103.

Arrangements are under the care of Thomas A. Murray of David T. Ferguson Funeral Home; 845-496-9106.
