Maria Wierl Obituary
The daughter of the late Ferdinand and Teresa Yani Schreier, she was born June 19, 1914 in Czechoslavakia.
She is survived by her sons, John Wierl and his companion, Lori Madrid of Middletown, Joseph Wierl Jr. and his wife, Marcella of Campbell Hall and William Wierl and his wife, Diana of Greenville; her daughters, Mina Barnett of Schnellsburg, Pa. and Erika Washalski and her husband, Ray of Greenville; one brother, Isadore Schreier of Hammond, Ind.; two sisters in Germany; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Josef Wierl in 1982.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown.
Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown.
