Carl Johnson Obituary

Narrowsburg, NY - Carl E. Johnson Sr. passed away peacefully from this life at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, Pa. on November 22, 2007.

A Narrowsburg resident since 1943, he was born November 2, 1919 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Johnson served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Mr. Johnson was a retired tree surgeon who operated a business in Sullivan County in 40 years. He was predeceased in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary and his son, Daniel. He is survived by a son, Carl E. Johnson Jr., a Florida resident and a daughter, Ellen E. Flynn of Albany, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

His family invites friends to share in a memorial celebration of his life to be held on Saturday, January 5 at 1 p.m. at the Rasumssen Funeral Home, 90 Main St., Narrowsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wayne Memorial Home Health/Hospice, 601 Park St., Honesdale, PA 18431.

Reposing: Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston on Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral: Thursday, Nov. 29 at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home. Funeral Mass: St. Joseph's Church, Kingston at 10 a.m. Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Kingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 280 N. Bedford Rd., 2-B, Mt.
