Lucy Andryshak Obituary

Goshen - Lucy Andryshak, a lifetime area resident and retired produce farmer, entered into rest on Tuesday, November 27, 2007. She was 90 years old.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Ryncewicz Paskiewicz, and widow of the late Leo Andryshak, she was born on April 19, 1917 in Goshen.

A family statement reads: "Gramma Lucy or "cochi Lucy" as she was referred to was loved by all who knew her and her wonderful cooking will be greatly missed."

Lucy was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Pine Island, and a was a member of St. Stanislaus Living Rosary Society.

She is survived by: three granddaughters: Darlene Lacouette of Wallkill, Cheryl Knight of Warwick, and Cynthia Pizza of Arizona; 12 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, one Brother Stanley Paskiewicz of Middletown; one sister Eleanor Kalesa of N.J.; several nieces and nephews. Two sons Robert "Bobby" and Rudolph "Butchie" predeceased her.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Friday November 30 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY 10921.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday December 1 at 12 p.m. at St. Stanislaus R.C. Church in Pine Island. Burial will take place at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus R.C. Church P.O. Box 248 Pine Island, NY 10969.
