Clara Tremper Obituary

Youngsville - Clara A. Tremper, a homemaker and lifetime resident of the area, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 in Liberty. She was 92.

Clara was born April 26, 1915 to the late Elicher and Lillian Barnhart Lacey in Livingston Manor, N.Y. She was the widow of Arnold T. Tremper, Sr.

Clara was a member of the Jeffersonville Senior Citizens.

She is survived by one daughter, Etel Miller of Youngsville; one son, Arnold Tremper, Jr. of Callicoon; one brother, Harold Lacey of Monticello; three sisters: Eva Terwilliger of Livingston Manor, Margaret Smith, and Eda Kanoff of Middletown; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, George Tremper; two brothers, Clifford and George Lacey, and three sisters: May Vanaker, Gladys Martin and Lillian Lacey.

Friends may call Monday, December 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville.

Services will be Tuesday, December 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
