Vincent Nocerino Obituary

Middletown - Vincent "Vinny" Nocerino, died on Friday, November 30, 2007 at O.R.M.C., Horton Campus in Middletown, NY. He was 84.

The son of the late Gennaro and Frances Nocerino he was born on November 13, 1923 in Manhattan. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

A family statement reads: "He will always be remembered for his big heart, his love of family, and his devotion to his grandchildren. His personality endeared him to everyone he met, and he will be greatly missed by all."

He is survived by his loving wife, Judith, at home; sons, Robert and his wife, Theresa of Yonkers, and Gennaro; his daughter, Helen and her husband, George, all of Middletown; sister-in-law, Peggy Gulotta of Middletown; five grandchildren: Nicolas and his wife, Jenn, R.J., Steven, Marissa, and Daniel.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 4, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 149 Cottage St., Middletown, N.Y. Following cremation, burial of ashes with military honors will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Craigville Rd., Goshen.
