Allen Stage Obituary

Middletown - Allen G. Stage, Jr., a life-long resident of the area, entered into rest on Friday, December 07, 2007, at Orange Regional Medical Center-Arden Hill Campus in Goshen. He was 84.

The son of the late Allen G. Stage, Sr. & Eva M. Tyrell Stage, he was born October 18, 1923 in Goshen. He was the widower of Beryl Stage, to whom he was married to for over 41 years. He was a retired dairy farmer and afterward, a house-piper with Orange & Rockland Utilities.

A family statement reads: "Allen was a hard working man with a gentle touch and a warm heart who will be missed greatly by his family & friends."

He was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church in Goshen. Allen's other memberships included: the Goshen 4H Club for over 25 years as a leader and 50 years in all; the FFA (Future Farmers of America) & he coached little league in Middletown including to his son & grandson.

Survivors include: a daughter, Terry Stage of Middletown; a son, Keith Stage, also of Middletown; a grandson, Craig Stage & his wife Tracy, and step-grandson, Curtis King - all of Liberty; a granddaughter, Alexis Stage, of Haines City, Fla.; sister, May Crowell, of Middletown; several nieces, nephews & cousins.

In addition to his wife, Beryl, his sister, Evelyn, predeceased Allen.

Friends may call at the Goshen United Methodist Church, 110 Webster Avenue, Goshen, NY on Sunday, December 9, from 1-2 p.m.

Memorial Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Virginia C. Hoch will officiate. Graveside services will be held at the wishes of the family.
