Betty Jean Coverdale Keller

Betty Keller Obituary

Betty Jean Coverdale Keller 1920 ~ 2009 Betty Jean Coverdale Keller, 88, passed away due to a massive stroke on January 15, 2009. She was surrounded by her loving husband and family as she left this earthly existence. She met her sweetheart, Ralph Keller, at Lockheed Aircraft in Burbank, CA during the war. Ralph taught her the gospel and baptized her in 1943. They were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple on March 2, 1944. Betty left behind a legacy unsurpassed by anyone we know - that of years of unselfish service and of unconditional love to all she met. She never said an unkind word about anyone. Everyone who knew her felt her loving spirit and was uplifted after being with her. She was an example to all of how to live a Christ-like life. She served the Lord in many church callings including Primary teacher, Young Women teacher, Relief Society president, visiting teacher, stake dance director, and serving three different missions. She served her family unceasingly, always thinking of them before herself. She was blessed with many talents and abilities that enriched the lives of those around her, but she will be remembered most by her loved ones and friends for her compassionate and serving spirit, her love of sports, competitive nature, playing games, and the great fun she had dancing and singing. All because two people fell in love, she is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ralph Keller and her children/spouses, Gary Lee (Cathie) Keller of St. George; Dianne (Mike) Linge of Centerville; Randy (Joan) Keller of Salt Lake; and Sue (Robert) Barton of Bountiful. Betty was blessed to have 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Preceded in death by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. We feel blessed to have such a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. We are grateful for her righteous life and tender, caring example to us. She will be missed greatly and we look forward to being united as an eternal family. We love you very much. A viewing will be held on Monday, January 19, 2009 between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary located at 727 North 400 East, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 20 between the hours of 12 to 12:45 p.m. located at the LDS Church Lakeview Ward, 455 South 1200 East, Bountiful, Utah. The funeral will follow in the ward building at 1 p.m. Interment Centerville Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com

I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and your dad at this time. I am sorry to read that your mom has passed away. I remember when we were young adults and the times we would go over to your home and your mom would be there with her smiling face and kindness. I can also remember how peaceful your home always felt.

May you have an abundance of peace at this time.
