Dear Mary Pat and Ron,
I am very sorry to hear about the death of your daughter Jenna. I can not imagine what you have been going through. Back in the 1960’s when we were growing up in Daly City we innocently traveled all over the place without a care. Today is a different story. Please accept my condolences on your loss. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Your old next door neighbor,

Dear Mary Pat, Nancy, and family--
We have not been in contact for 20+ years, but I want you to know that my heart is breaking for you and your loss of Jenna. I heard that a bicyclist had suffered gun shot wounds, but never imagined that it was your Jenna. I am still in touch with Christine -- she made the connection for me -- and I can't stop thinking about you all.
Like many of the others who already signed this book, I remember our teens in Daly City and all the fun escapades we shared together. Somehow, we grew up and lost touch. (Nancy, the last time I saw you was when Al & I lived in Rockaway and you lived in Valley Mar. Mary Pat, I think I last ran into you at Walgreen's in SSF.)
I want you to know that my heart goes out to you both and your family. I can't imagine what you must be going through. Jenna was a beautiful and caring person--I remember her and Race as toddlers. Though many years have gone by, we will always be friends. I just want you to know that I care and am here for you.
XOXO,
Wendy (Baltor) Abbott

MaryPat,
I am a long distance from my childhood home in Daly City but I have wonderful memories of our days together at Our Lady of Mercy. It felt like we were all a big family then. So, when I heard about your daughter, I wanted to write to say how sorry I am to hear your sad news.
May your memories of Jenna bring you peace and strength. I will keep you, Jenna, and all your family in my prayers.

Dear Mary Pat, Ron, Race, Patrick, Ayesha, Family and Friends,
Jenna was a great person. Someone you loved to be with; someone who dared to be herself and someone I looked up to. She was witty, rebellious and determined. If you knew Jenna you knew she was unique. Her bright eyes, careless smile are what I’ll remember most. I miss her and my heart goes out to all of you!! I pray that God will comfort our hearts and lift our sprits in remembering such a warm and wonderful person.
With Love,
Lisa Garner-Medrano

My deepest condolences to the family:
Mary Pat,Aiysha,Patrick and Race;
I know the vibrant sound of her laugh and that radiant smile is going to be missed. I loved her like a sister, when I met her 1987-88 we connected instantly. We shared great memories through the years.
She will be missed, but never forgotten, forever in our hearts...

Dear Mary Pat, Nancy and Family,
My heart is crying for you all during such an awful life tragedy. Though I didn't know Jenna, in her smile, I see you. Now, Jenna is in God's loving embrace, with no more pain, just peace. That is what I believe; I HAVE to.
May one day warm memories of Jenna help to heal your broken hearts. My thoughts, prayers and tears are with you during this horrendous and difficult time. How tragic that times have so changed~our summertime bike rides from Westbrook Ave. and Clifton Dr. to the Golden Gate Bridge and back, without a worry or care in the world... Life seemed less evil back then. And I believe that it was.
God bless you all. I am so sorry for your loss of your Jenna.

Mary Pat - please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your daughter, Jenna, in such a tragic and sensless way. I could not imagine the pain that my wife and I would go through if we lost one of our daughters. It is not supposed to happen this way. Please know that you are in our thoughts and our prayers. Just know that she is with your parents, awaiting the day that you and Nancy join them in a grand family reunion. God bless you, keep you and comfort you in this most trying time.
