M Quinn
June 26, 2007
I am Bill's third cousin, M Quinn. Steve Quinn is my father. I am sorry to learn of Bill's passing. I tried to contact Bill, several times, over the past few years. I remember fondly our visits to Aunt Laura and Uncle Bert. If Bill was pitching, and on T.V., everything stopped , until he was no longer on the mound. If Bill was in town, he would drop in for a few minutes to say "hi!" Aunt Laura showed us Bill's drawings and newspaper articles, from her cedar chest, each time we visited. May God comfort you at this time of loss.

I was sorry to hear of Bill's passing. In '65 he signed me to a contract with the Houston organization.
Having worked with me on my pitching for several months, his knowledge and guidance helped me immensely. I found him to be a very likable and respected man. What he was and what he did I respected, but what I remember about Bill was his modesty and his good character, which I respected above all. He will be missed in the baseball world.
