I met Dorothy when I worked at Cal-OSHA. We discussed parapsychology and shared a great interest in genealogy. She encouraged me to compile and publish freedom and slavery information I found in the District of Columbia land records. Her wise advice and quite ways will be missed.

Associating with Dorothy was one of the greatest pleasures I had during my visits to the CGS Library. Though quiet and unassuming, her good sense of fun and happy, cheerful disposition made her a true joy to be with. I will truly miss her.
