The entire Aken’s family sends their condolences to your entire family,

Our family was deeply saddened to read/hear of your lost of both Mr. John and Claire’s passing. You may not remember us, but you all were our neighbors when you lived in Lincoln Village we lived directly in the front of you. Also, my sister and I went to school and played with Casey and Claire when we were growing up, and we also remember when the twins were born and begin school.

I first remember meeting john in 1998 at the St Louis Amiga Show. He was there with his daughter selling AE Mail, his Amiga Email client. Later that year I attended my first Amiwest show and have not missed one since. John and the members of SACC where always helpful and managed to produce a great show every year. We will miss you John!

Annette and Aleise, I doubt you remember me, but I went to elementary school with you at AM Winn. I was looking through the funeral notices and recognized the name, hoping it was not your father, but I'm sad to see it was. I'm also sad to see you lost your sister Claire already too. Please accept my condolences and I hope your family is doing well.

I remember going to your house after school many times.

Take care.

Dear Janice,

I was very saddened to hear of John's passing.

By chance I was thinking of him a couple of weeks ago, when I dusted off an old manuscript written with WordSaber.

It took me back to the days of the old Commodore Computer Club, meeting in your house every month. I always wondered how you tolerated that mob decending on your home every month.

Computers became a part of my life, and John was a significant part of that.

He did indeed make a difference, and though I have not seen him for years, I will miss him.

My deepest condolances to you and yours for your loss.

As a co-worker at Dept. of Justice, John was always very friendly and quite underestimated in terms of his depth and background. I remember being surprised when he spoke of his time as a drama teacher and other experiences. He was a very nice man.
