William Campbell Obituary

William Campbell "We Love You Forever" William (Willy) Campbell, our dearly loved husband, dad, grandpa and friend, passed into the loving arms of Heavenly Father on April 6, 2009. He was born on November 9, 1923 to Lula and William Campbell. He was the youngest of eight children. He married the love of his life, Margaret Salt on January 26, 1943. Marriage later solemnized in the South Jordan Temple. Dad served in the Navy during World War II. Afterwards he worked for years as Plant Superintendent and Eimco Mining Machinery and later was Vice President of Manufacturing at Mark Steel. Dad had an enormous zest for life, with some of his favorite activities being hunting, fishing, trips "Down South" plus constant family activities. He had many talents which he openly shared with all, from rebuilding engines to building houses. Foremost of his accomplishments was building his family, which he loved with all his heart and with whom he leaves many cherished memories. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret, sons: Frank (Sandy) Campbell, Bill (Connie) Campbell; daughters: Bonnie (Ron) Yasukawa, Linda (Peter) Radford, Susan (Allen) Vickers; sister, Leona (Pete) Uzelac and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. View Memorial on Friday at 11 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior. Interment at Mtn. View Memorial. The family wishes to express appreciation to all those that gave our Dad excellent care. I didn't know William as well as I know his son, Bill, and have always thought parents can be judged by how their kids turn out. William was a great man!
