Sheldon Douglass

Sheldon Douglass Kanab, Utah Sheldon Lamar Douglass, born May 25, 1978, in Mesa Arizona, passed away unexpectedly July 24, 2007 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. Sheldon is the third of six sons of Kent and Inez Douglass, and was a resident of Kanab during his teenage years. Sheldon served an LDS mission in the Dominican Republic. While there he met a wonderful woman who became the love of his life, Milka Esther Santos. They were married December 11, 1999 in the Salt Lake Temple. Sheldon was an extremely talented graphic designer and artist. He put his talents to good use, and finally fulfilled a lifelong dream to own his own business when he bought Quality Printing in Kanab. Sheldon's greatest achievement was his loving family. He cherished them all and loved spending time with them. His wife and four children under the age of seven will greatly miss his warm hugs and loving smile. Survivors include wife Milka of Kanab; children Jessica, Emilia, William, and Spencer; parents Kent and Inez Douglass of Kanab; in-laws Enrique and Ysmenia Santos of Salt Lake City; grandmothers Louise White of Kanab; and Barbara Douglass of American Fork, UT; brothers Sean and Sara of Alpine, UT; Ryan and Debbie of Mesa, AZ; Adam and Mandy of Page, AZ; Jarrett and Jessica of Kanab; and Joshua and Kalie of Sugar Grove, Ill. Funeral will be held Sat., July 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Kanab Kaibab Stake Center. Viewings will be held Fri. from 6-8 p.m. at Mosdell Mortuary, and Sat. from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Kanab Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sheldon Douglass Donation Account set up at any Zion's National Bank on behalf of his children.
