Mr. Bill was a distant cousin of ours on the Newton side. When I was growing up in Guyton, I met him about 20 years ago with my dad Pat Murphy and uncle Richard Murphy. He was very kind to tell me all about his war experiences, and proudly showed me his flight jacket. It made a great impression on me to meet someone who flew over the English Channel on D-Day. I'll never forget what he said: "There were so many boats down there that it looked like you could walk across without getting your feet wet."

God rest him.

Granny, Aunt Thetis and Family,

I remember going to Uncle Bud's as a child many years ago. I will miss him as I am sure you will too. He was a very sweet guy.

Dear Granny Nease and family,

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Uncle Bud. Even though we didn't have the honor of Uncle Bud being in our lives for very long, he sure made an impact on Lexi's and Carson's lives. They enjoyed his presence so much and he will be missed.

The kids have a special coin that he gave them and they have put it up to keep forever.

May God be with you all and we will have you in our prayers.

I am sorry to read of William's death. I know he was much loved by his family and will be missed very much. He was my aunt Merwin's brother.
