Francisca Resende Obituary

Brockton Francisca Resende, 51, of Brockton died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at her home in Brockton under the care of her family and hospice. Born Feb. 20, 1957, in Fogo, Cape Verde, she was a daughter of Maria Re-sende and the late Francisco Resende. Mrs. Resende came to the United States 17 years ago and was a machine operator for Churchill Linen Company for several years. She enjoyed exercising, jogging and traveling. She is survived by her children, Maria Resende, Deila Moeda, Decio Moeda, Dery Moeda and the late Humberto Resende; her mother, Maria Resende; her sisters and brothers, Fatima, Ruth, Luis, Edilia, Tete, Padro, Celestino and Joaquina Resende; she is also survived by eight grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
