Robert Maguire Obituary

Carver Robert J. Maguire, of Carver, and formerly of Brockton, died April 20, 2008. He was 66 years old. Mr. Maguire retired from the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority after many years of service. He was a son of the late Yvonne Farwell; beloved father of Melissa and her husband Peter Potenza of Carver and Christine and her husband Chris Laux of New Jersey; brother of Richard Maguire of Brockton and the late James Maguire; loving grandfather of Alicia Potenza, Matthew Laux and Danielle Laux. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 24, from 5-8 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Rte. 58), Carver. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, April 25, at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lourdes Church in Carver. Burial will be at the Central Cemetery in Carver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Ave., 5th Floor, Norwalk, CT 06851.
