Harriet Johnson Obituary

West Bridgewater Harriet E. (Lorette) Johnson, 78 years, of West Bridgewater, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, surrounded by her family at her home after a lengthy illness. She was the loving wife for 57 years of Richard T. Johnson. Harriet was born in Pittsfield and raised in educated in the Lenox Dale section of Lenox, a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel (McKegg) Lorette. She had been a resident of West Bridgewater for the past 11 years, previously living in the Brockton area for many years. When healthy, Harriet enjoyed golf and bingo and also crafting, painting, knitting and crocheting. She was a stay-at-home mom who was devoted to raising her children and grandchildren and always placed her family first. In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons and two daughters, Richard T. Johnson Jr. of Wakefield, R.I., Edward C. Johnson of Bridgewater, Mary E. Capen of West Bridgewater, Brian D. Johnson of Grand Prairie, Texas, James L. Johnson of Bayonne, N.J., and Theresa M. Wolk of Brockton. She was the grandmother of 15; and great-grandmother of 10. She also leaves her siblings, Rose Grazewicz, Joan Forshee, Barbara Lipford, Charles, Robert and Donald Lorette, all of the Berkshires area; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Dick-

Please accept my sympathy at the loss of Harriett; she was a great lady. I will always remember her humor and fun loving spirit.

I know how you feel. I would tell you that it will get better but that isn't the truth. You just come to terms with it. But you will always have the memories; noone can ever take those away.
