Katherine Bertelli Obituary

Bridgewater Katherine P. Bertelli, a lifelong resident of Bridgewater, died June 2, 2008, at her home after a period of failing health. She was 91. Born in Bridgewater, a daughter of the late Julian and Dominika (Malkowski) Leganowicz, she was a graduate of Bridgewater High School and Brockton Business College. She worked for 30 years as a secretary at the George O. Jenkins Company in Bridgewater. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater. She was the wife of the late Dino P. Bertelli; sister of Valerie Falese of Cotuit, Edna Lloyd of San Francisco, Raymond Leganowicz of Cotuit, Bruce Legan of Bedminster, N.J., and the late John, Stanley and Michael. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Thursday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater, MA 02324, or to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
