Lucia Nelson

Stoughton Lucia Lucy (DiLollo) Nelson, 45, died Thursday, June 12, at her home after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was the beloved wife of James L. Nelson. Born in San Ferdinando di Puglia, Italy, she was a resident of Stough-ton since moving to the United States in 1969. She was a graduate of Stough-ton schools and Curry College in Milton. Mrs. Nelson was a registered nurse. A dedicated homemaker and mother, she was the past president of the Hansen School PTO in Stoughton and was a former CCD teacher at Immaculate Conception Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her beloved children, Bianca L. Nelson, James C. Nelson and Marisa J. Nelson, all of Stoughton. She was the cherished daughter of Carmela (Frontino) DiLollo and Francesco DiLollo of Canton. She was the treasured sister of Antonio DiLollo of Canton. She is also survived by a large extended family in the United States, Italy and Canada. She is loved and cherished by many friends. Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton, Monday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 p.m. Burial will be at St. Marys Cemetery, Canton.
