Roy Laun Obituary

Taunton Roy H. Laun, at the age of 86, of Taunton, formerly of Randolph, June 15, 2008. Husband of the late Marie Jeanne (Casanova) Laun. Loving father of David N. Laun of Taunton. Dear grandfather of David N. Laun, Jr. of AK, Jennifer Souris and Jessica Champney, both of Taunton. Also survived 7 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late George Laun, Russell Laun, Henry Laun, and Mary Healy. Mr. Laun was born in Boston, has lived in Taunton for the past 7 years and prior to that he had lived in Randolph for over 50 years. Mr. Laun was a retired diesel mechanic for Greyhound Bus Co. He had worked out of the Greyhound garage in So. Boston for over 20 years. Roy was a disabled WW II US Army Veteran. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph. Funeral Services Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Mr. Laun,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I'm sorry to hear of Roy's passing. I didn't know him well, except from what I heard from other family members. We send our condolences. I'm sure he's in a better place.
