Deborah Perkins Obituary

Eliot, ME Deborah Ann (Murray) Perkins, 59, of Eliot, Maine, died suddenly at her Maine home on Monday, May 19, 2008. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of Stanley K. and Marion V. ( Thompson ) Murray of York, Me. and Clearwater, Fl. She was a graduate of Mater Dei Academy. She was the former wife of John P. Rice Jr of Stockton, CA and the widow of the late Charles Perkins of Modesto, CA. who died in 1990. After living in California for over 20 years, Deborah moved to Eliot, ME. where she published The Curmudgeon, a local newspaper. Besides her parents, she is survived by her longtime companion Larry Dow of Eliot; her daughter Shery Rice Cox and son John P. Rice III, both of Oregon and one granddaughter, Emma Cox also of Oregon. She is also survived by her brother Dennis of Framingham and her sister Suzann of Canterbury, NH; and two nieces, Dana and Reagan. Funeral services were private. Arrangements were by the JS Pelkey Funeral Home, Kittery, ME.

Sorry to learn of Deborah's death a bit late. I taught her at Mater Dei Academy. I remember her very well.
