Paul Trotta Obituary

Stoughton Paul J. "Mike" Trotta, of Stoughton and Cornish, Maine, died June 11, 2008. He was the former husband of F. Nancy (LaCivita) Trotta; father of Michael Trotta of Sharon, Antoinette Trotta of Stoughton and Geri Anne (Trotta) Goffe of Gallop, N.M.; brother of Robert Trotta of Stoughton and Louis Trotta of Norwalk, Ohio. Also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nephews. He will be remembered for his outstanding athletic performance at Stoughton High School; meritorious service aboard the USS Wasp, sunk Sept. 15, 1942, in support of forces on Guadalcanal during World War II; his gifted artistic talents; and his enduring sense of humor. Memorial service to be held Sunday, June 22, at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Sharon at 2 p.m.

Mr. Trotta,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USN in the Pacific fighting the Japanese during WW II aboard the aircraft carrier USS Wasp(CV 7). And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
