James Croak Obituary

Rockland James F. Croak, 49, of Rockland, died Wednesday, in his home, after a long illness. He was born in Weymouth, March 10,1959, a son of the late Patrick H. and Ruth E. (Baker) Croak. Jim was raised and educated in Rockland and was a graduate of Rockland High School. He served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Mr. Croak was employed by the Buckley Corporation in Rockland from 1981 until 1986 and was employed as a crane operator for Hallamore Riging and Trucking in Holbrook from 1986 until his illness last year. He was a member of Local No. 4 of the Operating Engineers and a member of the Rockland Eagles. He is survived by one son, Corporal Ryan J. Croak, U.S. Marine Corps, of Rockland; one brother, Joseph P. Croak Sr. and his wife Jean of Whitman; one niece, Jillian Croak; two nephews, Joseph P. Croak Jr. and Jeffrey R. Croak; his friend, Robin Sweeney of Hanover; and his former wife, Rhonda (Maloney) Godfrey of Bourne. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 403 Union St., Rockland. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Rockland. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 45 East Water St., in Rockland.
