James Snow Obituary

Brockton James J. Snow, 74 years, of Brockton, June 18, 2008, after a brief illness with Mesothelioma. James was a son of the late James and Noella (Gaumont) Snow and had been a resident of Brockton since 1972. He was raised in Hyde Park and was a graduate of Boston Technical High School, Class of 1952. He also attended Newbury Jr. College. James served in the U.S. Air Force serving for two years in Puerto Rico during the Korean War. He was a purchasing agent for the D.J. Cutter and Company, Inc., of Dorchester, retiring in 1999, after 40 years of service. James was a member of the American Legion Post 35, the Cedar Hill Golf Course of Stoughton and a Brockton High School Band Booster. He enjoyed a good game of golf, but most especially preferred spending time with his family. James is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia A. (McMahon) Snow; his children, Michelle P. of Brockton, Deborah J. of West Yarmouth, Sharon M. and her husband Tim Warlick of South Carolina, Michael P. and his wife April of Virginia and Kevin S. and his wife Gail of Rhode Island; his sister, Carol A. Briggs of Vermont; and six grandchildren, Tara and Colleen Wetherbee of West Yarmouth, Mason and Raymond Warlick of South Carolina and Connor and Brendan Snow of Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by his brother Robert P. Snow. Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Monday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 a.m. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park., Canton.
