Ronald Powers Obituary

Hanson Ronald E. Powers, 73, of Hanson, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, after a brief illness. Son of the late Walter and Grace (Hull) Powers, he was born in West Roxbury on November 14, 1934. He was raised and educated in Boston and was a graduate of Boston Latin High School. Mr. Powers served in the U.S. Army and was later employed as a printer at Halliday Lithograph for 31 years. Mr. Powers had also been the owner of Wey Brook Printing in Hanover and then Hanson Graphics for many years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia M. (Herlihy) Powers; one son, Ronald W. Powers of Sharon; three daughters, Kimberly Powers of Mashpee, Cheryl Maly of Abington and Karen Dalton of Marshfield; one brother, Walter Powers of California; and 10 grandchildren. Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan St., at the corner of Rte. 14 and 58, Hanson, Wednesday morning, from 8:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Rte 14, Hanson. Interment in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
