Nancy Eskenas Obituary

Plymouth Nancy Jane (Leonard) Eskenas, 62, of Plymouth, died June 21, after a long and brave battle with cancer. Nancy was born in Whitman and moved to Brockton as a small child, where she attended and graduated from Brockton High School in 1964. Nancy had several careers, all of which provided her an outlet for her love of people. She was an airline stewardess for TWA; a real estate agent and the co-owner of Leonards Restaurant - The Second Generation, previously owned and operated by her parents for 25 years. Nancy and her husband, Lenny, moved from their home in Easton, where they raised their children, to Falmouth, and more recently, to PineHills in Plymouth. There, she was well-known and loved as a real estate manager and developed some wonderful friendships. Nancy loved playing golf, going to the theater and traveling with family and friends. Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Atty. Leonard Eskenas; and her children, Chris Baynes, Heather Baynes, Rachelle Eskenas and Jonathan Eskenas, and their families; and by her sister, Linda Leonard DeYoung. In addition, she is survived by two beautiful grandchildren, Alex and Sydney Baynes and expecting another; as well as four nephews and two nieces. Preceding her death were her parents, Herbert and Rhoda Leonard and her brother David Leonard. Her beautiful smile and caring nature will be deeply missed. Services to be held at the Plymouth United Methodist Church, 29 Carver Road, Plymouth, Wednesday, June 25, at 10 a.m., followed by a reception/visiting hours in the churchs fellowship hall at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 West Chestnut St., Brockton, MA 02301. Arrangements by the Richard Davis Funeral Homes of Plymouth and Manomet. Online condolences may be made at richarddavisfuneralhome.com.

Lenny and Family,

It will be the little things that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem hard right now,
it will be the memories of these little things
that help to push away the pain
and bring the smiles back again.
Nancy's kind and generous spirit will be with us all.
She was truly a special person.
With sympathy,

Len and Family Nancy lived across the street from me and my family many years ago. I will always remember her smile, and caring attitudes towards my family. Whenever I would see her she always remebered to ask of my parents. She will be missed.
